lazy days

Firstly I'm really sorry that I haven't been blogging much recently but I had exams, then art deadlines and various other things. But I should hopefully be back on track super fast and writing lots of interesting new posts.
Right, so this weekend I didn't really do much at all. But I did get given these two cameras from a family friend, trouble is I only got given one roll of film to go with them. But lets face it I can't complain. I'm rather excited to use them, just need to weather to pick up a bit first so I can go out exploring with them. I also went on a walk through the countryside with my family on Sunday. We walked to a quaint little village and had a drink in an old English style pub. It was the perfect Sunday.

Over the past few weeks I've managed to pick up a few bits and pieces in the sales. I'm quite pleased with everything I got and can't wait to wear the shorts, just got to have some warm weather now.

Topshop have launched their first s/s 2011 collection of this year online recently and i must say I have already fallen in love with some of the pieces, especially the black fringed playsuit. The muted tones look fabulous with splashes of reds and oranges that give the collection that summery feeling. Add in a beautiful tan to tie this easy summer look together perfectly.

Hello lovely people, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and new year, mine was rather lovely. I haven't done a post in quite a while as I've been busy amongst the festivities. Just thought I'd post some photos of some of my presents, I was so lucky this year because I got so many fabulous things. I will take photos of my clothes some time over the weekend as its always dark when I get home so the photos are very poor quality. One of my favourites has to be the Urban Decay New York palate though, but its a shame the lights don't work on it, but the illustrations are beautiful (oh and the make up is quite good too). I have so many books to read as well, I can't decide which one to read first.

Just a quick post. Christmas holidays have arrived! And Christmas is so close now, I'm bursting with excitement. I've been at home all week and felt bored but creative today, so decided to attempt to draw my beautiful friend Bex. Its just a start and is no where near finished, but I like how its turned out so far.

On another note, on Saturday the snow all of a sudden went mad and we are now covered in it. It's been snowing on and off all week making it even worse. It doesn't help that my welly boots leak.

I'm getting inspiration from everywhere right now and I welcome it all. I found so many different videos so it was very difficult to choose just a few, but in the end I decided on these five. I like them all for different reasons, I love the jewellery in the last video and how she was able to make all those different unique pieces work perfectly together. Rachel's (2nd video) hair it falls just right and her awkwardness is adorable.

Had a fairly successful weekend, but didn't get everything done unfortunately. The lunch went rather well though, no complaints from anyone and I absolutely loved mine. I had spit roast chicken with chips and garlic mayonnaise (not very exotic I know, but still very yummy) then for desert I had a triple chocolate praline torte; it was truely scrumptious.

shooting past

Just a quick post as I'm reasonably busy this weekend with Christmas lunches and putting up decorations and in amongst all that doing psychology revision and art work.
But this evening I have decided to relax by watching funny TV and trying to get my hands on the mince pies (but not having much luck). I've also been browsing ASOS and found some wonderful dresses that would be perfect for up coming festive parties. One in particular caught my eye.


But unfortunately I do not have the super long skinny legs, tan or beautiful features to pull of this dress so I will carry on wishing.
